Beach Cottages Transformed

These darling, identical beach cottages originally built in 1963, were in need of a major overhaul. Over the course of an 8-year design and approval process, they were lifted, placed on new foundations, and lovingly updated in a historic Vernacular with cedar siding, wood roofs, and traditional details. A shared courtyard separates the 1,300-sf cottages, each featuring open-plan living, dining and kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bath.
